OInntmtfirr {rpnri <br /> op nit Qlnmmnn alounril of flit Mug of$oufli limn: HUMAN RESOURCES AND ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> • <br /> The November 22, 1982 meeting of the Human Resources and Development <br /> Committee was called to order by its chairman, John Voorde at 5 : 00 p.m. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Zielinski, Voorde, <br /> Crone, McGann, Szymkowiak, Serge, Harris , Taylor and Beck; Jon Hunt, <br /> Attorney Dave Weisman, Thaddius M. Jones, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Voorde noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review <br /> the tax abatement petition for 1302 South High Street, which is Resolution <br /> 9A on tonight' s Common Council agenda. Councilman Voorde noted that the <br /> petition is seeking real property tax abatement. He further noted that the <br /> Redevelopment Commission, at its meeting of November 12, 1982 , unamimously <br /> passed a resolution stating that the property in question qualifies for tax <br /> abatement consideration. It was noted by AttorneyWei:smam that 30 additional <br /> jobs would be created to the company known as Environmental Technology, Inc. <br /> and that the total amount abated would be $19,515. 00. Mr. Hunt noted that the <br /> area was just outside the impact area <br /> Following further discussion by the Committee, Councilman Taylor made <br /> a motion seconded by Councilman McGann that Resolution 9A be recommended to <br /> Council favorably. The Motion passed 4-0.
