Develop special provisions to the satisfaction of the railroad for the proposed work, insurance <br />requirements, flagging services, locations, and coordination with other parties as may be <br />required. <br /> <br />E. Create and maintain a master correspondence log through these railroad coordination activities. <br /> <br /> <br />A1.08 Right-of-way Engineering <br /> <br />A. The Engineer shall prepare title research, legal descriptions, route survey plats or right-of-way <br />parcel plats, acquisition instruments and other materials to be used in the acquisition of right-of- <br />way in accordance with the policies outlined in INDOT Right-of-Way Engineering Procedure <br />Manual, hereinafter called the Manual, 865 I.A.C. 1-12. <br /> <br />B. The Engineer shall compare and study, in detail, all of the title information and survey data <br />furnished with it and the Engineer shall calculate or otherwise determine all other data, as may <br />be necessary, for writing the legal description of every right-of-way parcel, all in conformity <br />with the Manual. All documents, plats and plans prepared by the Engineer are to be checked by <br />the Engineer prior to submittal to the Owner. All documents and plats requiring a seal under this <br />Contract may not be reviewed by the Owner for content. <br /> <br />C. The Engineer may, when requested in writing from the Owner, undertake additional field work, <br />such as right-of-way staking or general layout, as specifically instructed by the Owner. Each <br />right-of-way (parcel) plat and each sheet of legal description and access control clause issued by <br />the Engineer shall be dated and shall bear the signature and seal of the Registered Land Surveyor <br />licensed in Indiana by whom the same is prepared, or under whose personal supervision the same <br />is prepared by his/ her regularly employed subordinates, and for which he/she takes full <br />responsibility. The Engineer shall bear the responsibility of recording the plats which it prepares. <br /> <br />D. The Engineer shall provide to the Owner, on appropriate electronic media, a copy of prepared <br />legal descriptions, any computer generated land plats and all calculated coordinate points that <br />relate to the work. <br /> <br />E. The Engineer agrees to attend such conferences with the officials of the Owner and other <br />interested agencies, as may be required, in connection with the work. The Engineer will make <br />its services available to the Owner during the land appraising and acquisition for the <br />interpretation of its work where disagreement may arise. The Engineer will be available during <br />appraising and acquisition in the event unforeseen or unusual conditions arise. <br /> <br />F. Deliverables shall include the last deed of record, prepared parcel plats, legal descriptions and <br />transfer documents. Permanent right-of-way acquisition parcels shall have a Title Insurance <br />policy in the amount of $5,000 from a 20 year search. <br /> <br />A1.09 Real Estate Services <br /> <br />A. Project Management for Acquisition Services
