OI t.tuitixtpe Itle wit <br /> Wn fir altmtwou loam ai( or file (!Jilt; of 0,1010 #irirl; <br /> TO: Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> The February 9, 1981, Personnel and Finance Committee meeting was <br /> called to order at 5:30 p.m. by its Chairman, Councilman Beverly Crone, <br /> in the Council meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen McGann, .Voorde, Crone, <br /> Szymkowiak and Dombrowski; and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Crone announced that the purposed of the meeting was to <br /> discuss Bill No. 10-81 which relates to mileage allowance and the use of <br /> private vehicles on city business. This bill was referred to the <br /> Personnel and Finance Committee at the last meeting of the Common .Council. <br /> Councilman Crone stated that the city fleet has been decreased as <br /> follows: <br /> 1978 1979 1980 <br /> 438 vehciles 414 vehicles 404 vehicles <br /> She recommended that the language referring to IRS standards be retained <br /> in Section 2-121 (b) (1) . In her contact with the City Controller, <br /> Joseph Kernan, he had no: objections. <br /> Councilman Dombrowski suggested retaining language in Section 2-121 <br /> (a) which would require 20 vehicles to be cut by January 1, 1982. <br /> Following a considerable amount of discussion, Councilman McGann <br /> made a motion to include the IRS provision 'and to cut the vehicle fleet <br /> by 20 vehiccles byJanuary 1, 1982. Councilman Voorde seconded the motion. <br /> The Committee voted unanimously in favor of the amendments. <br /> Councilman Crone then directed the Council Attorney to prepare 'a <br /> handwritten bill including the recommended amendments for the regular. <br /> council meeting. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committe, Council- <br /> man McGann made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Voorde.
