Persons in attendance included: Councilmen McGann, .Voorde, Crone, Szymkowiak and Dombrowski; and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. Councilman Crone announced that the purposed of the meeting was to discuss Bill No. 10-81 which relates to mileage allowance and the use of private vehicles on city business. This bill was referred to the Personnel and Finance Committee at the last meeting of the Common .Council. Councilman Crone stated that the city fleet has been decreased as follows: 1978 1979 1980 438 vehciles 414 vehicles 404 vehicles She recommended that the language referring to IRS standards be retained in Section 2-121 (b) (1) . In her contact with the City Controller, Joseph Kernan, he had no: objections. Councilman Dombrowski suggested retaining language in Section 2-121 (a) which would require 20 vehicles to be cut by January 1, 1982. Following a considerable amount of discussion, Councilman McGann made a motion to include the IRS provision 'and to cut the vehicle fleet by 20 vehiccles byJanuary 1, 1982. Councilman Voorde seconded the motion. The Committee voted unanimously in favor of the amendments. Councilman Crone then directed the Council Attorney to prepare 'a handwritten bill including the recommended amendments for the regular. council meeting. There being no further business to come before the Committe, Council- man McGann made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Voorde.
