Crone, at 5 :30 p.m.
in the Council meeting room.
. Persons in attendance included: Councilmen-:Symkowiak, Voorde,. McGann,
Zielinski, Serge, Crone and Beck; City Controller Joseph Kernan; City
Attorney Rich Hill; Jon Hunt, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney.
The meeting was called to discuss Bill No. 45-81, a Bill setting salaries
for City Employees for 1982 , which was referred to the Committee at the last
Council meeting.
Councilman Crone explained that she had reviewed the Bill in detail. She
noted that the positions of Superintendent I and II in the Bureau of Services
had mistakenly been left out of the original Bill, and should be included.
She also noted that the City Controller was requested to. prepare a new page 8
which would reflect the amount and source of all multi-funded salaries.
Councilman McGann made a motion,, seconded by Councilman Voorde to accept
new page 8. The motion passed unanimously.
Following discussion, Councilman McGann made a motion seconded by
Councilman Voorde to recommend Bill No. 45-81 to the Council favorably as
amended. The motion passed 3 to 1, with Councilman Crone in the minority.
Chairman Crone then questioned the procedure regarding Ordinance No.
6915-81 which was vetoed by the Mayor. It was pointed out that it was listed
under "New Business" , Item 13 on the Agenda; and depending on the action
taken on Bill No. 45-81, it could be sustained or the Council could
entertain a motion to override the Mayor' s veto.
Councilman Symkowiak made the motion to adjourn, seconded by
Councilman McGann. The meeting was adjourned at 6 : 00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Beveraly D. Crone, Chairman
•
FR!! •R!!$ a ►U•LI/HINO CO.
