SOUTH BEND ENERGY CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES - Meeting September 23, 1981 <br /> Members Present: Randall Chrobot, Gail Dowty, Frank Yeandel, <br /> Howard Rogers, William Burke, Ed Baer, <br /> Myron Busby, David Albert, <br /> The meeting was called to order at 3:25 P.M. by acting Chairman, <br /> Frank Yeandel. The approval of the previous meeting minutes was <br /> waived. <br />- - A. Nominating Committee Report - A slate of recommendations <br /> included : <br /> DavideAlbert - President <br /> Bill Burke - Vice President <br /> Jim Markle - Secretary <br /> Frank Yeandel- Advisor <br /> B. Election - Unanimous with one obstaintion for Vice President. <br /> C. Goals - (Meeting conducted by David Albert) . <br /> 1. Filling vacancies on the Commission. <br /> 2 . Becoming more county-wide in scope once establishing <br /> ourselves locally. <br /> 3 . Concern over sometime acquiring energy staff person <br /> in the City. <br /> 4. Institution energy catalogue. <br /> Visibility in the community i.e. energy fair, essay <br /> contest, *energy booth in county/City Building. <br /> 6. Carpooling program possibly like the one MACOG has <br /> developed and promote one ourselves . <br /> 7. Energy curtailment plan update. <br /> 8. Representation on commission of utility companies . <br /> 9. Sunshine policy for publicizing meetings . <br /> 10. Obtain support from higher educational institutions <br /> through student newspapers ; energy clubs - Michiana <br /> Solar Roundtable. <br /> 11. Discuss findings of the city fleet report currently being <br /> done by John Stancati. <br /> D.
