anntin ttrr Report <br /> On the &IIn utton fIIoiuwil of Or (Mg of Onu1i1 igrttd: PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE <br /> The October .26, 1981 meeting of the Public Works Committee was <br /> called to order by its Chairman, Councilman Joseph T. Serge at 5 : 30 p.m. <br /> in the Council meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included, Councilmen: Serge, Zielinski, and <br /> Szymkowiak, and City Engineer John Leszczynski. <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Bill No. 102 which would <br /> appropriate $540, 000 from Local Road and Street Funds to be used for the <br /> Colfax Avenue Budget Project. <br /> Mr. Leszczynski presented the bill. He noted that the project was <br /> 79% stated funded, and 21% local funded. The budget was inspected in 1972 <br /> and found to need repairs for safety reasons, and would be expanded to four- <br /> lanes. Although there are not sufficient funds in the account presently, <br /> he assured the committee that at the time of expenditure in 1982, there <br /> would be a sufficient balance. <br /> Councilman Zielinski made a motion, seconded by Councilman <br /> Szymkowiak to recommend the Bill favorable. The motion passed 3-0. There <br /> being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5 : 45 p.m. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Joseph T.
