Mountain larpor# <br /> II a Mammon Qiounril of tp Tit* Df Onntl PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> • <br /> The October 26, 1981 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> was called to order by its Chairman, Councilman Beverly Crone at 5: 00 p.m. <br /> in the Council meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen: Szymkowiak, Voorde, Beck, <br /> McGann, and Crone, Sherrie Petz, Carolyn Pfotenhauer, Eugenia Schwartz, <br /> Katie Farrand, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Crone noted that the meeting was called to continue discussion <br /> on Bill No. 121-81 regarding licensing. <br /> • The Committee then reviewed the licensing work sheets completed by the <br /> City Controller's Office. All hourly figure costs reflect 1981 amounts.. <br /> The Committee reviewed the Bill, section by section and made the • <br /> following recommendations: <br /> 1) Arborists- -$30.00; $3. 00 per vehicle • <br /> 2) Food Vending Vehicle- $20. 00 per vehicle <br /> 3) Hotels/Motels - $3. 00 per room with a $25. 00 minimum per <br /> establishment <br /> 4) Self Service Laundries/Dry Cleaners- $2. 00 per machine; or a <br /> $50. 00 minimum per establishment <br /> 5) Massage Parlors/Techinicians - $50. 00 per year with the <br /> penalty section raised to $500 per violation <br /> with a $2, 500 maximum fine <br /> 6) Open Air Stands - $5. 00 per day or a minimum of $25. 00 for one <br /> operation. - $150.00 per year (private property) <br /> $200. 00 per year (public property) <br /> 7) Peddlers/Canvassers - $20. 00 for up to 10 consecutive days of <br /> operation. $25. 00 for up to 10 consecutive <br /> . days of operation while using a vehicle. <br /> $40.00 per year (without vehicle) <br /> $50 .00 per year (with vehicle) <br /> The Committee further recommended an exemption for persons <br /> registered with the Charitable Solicitations Commission. <br /> 8) Open Parking Lots - The Committee recommended to maintain the <br /> present fee of $1. 00 per parking space and to re-define the <br /> license to be a "public parking facility" . <br /> • <br /> Following further discussion, Councilman Voorde made a motion to continue <br /> the meeting to Wednesday, November 4, 1981 at 2: 00 p.m. seconded by <br /> Councilman McGann.
