BILL NO. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 7767-5(6 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000. 00 IN THE <br /> GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF HELPING THE <br /> HUNGRY AND THE HOMELESS. <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> The City of South Bend, Indiana has received a donation <br /> from U.S.A. for Africa in the amount of $10 ,000. 00 to be used to feed <br /> and house the hungry and homeless in South Bend. The City wishes to <br /> evenly distribute the donation among various community based <br /> charitable organizations which sponsor ongoing programs for this <br /> purpose. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION I . The amount of $10,000 . 00 is hereby <br /> appropriated for the year 1986 and ordered set apart in the General <br /> Fund.
