775 <br />___Friday August 30th, 1907. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. Papezynski absent. <br />Remonstrance filed by Myrtle M. Rohrer et al. against the May street Grade, <br />^urb & walk Improvement, under Improvement Resolution No. 4M. The Board find that <br />the remonstrance is sufficient and that all action under said improvement should <br />be and the same is hereby RESCIENDED. <br />Bond of Geo. M. Headley filed and approved and contract signed for the Acl.ams <br />street Cement Curbing Improvement. <br />Petition filed for the extension of Elwood avenue, East. Signed by the <br />Portage Land Company et al. <br />Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 47, vacating the following described <br />property, wo-wit:- <br />Begin at the north east corner of lot 39 College Grove addition; <br />thence north 6 1/2 ,thence west 107 1/4 feet; thence south 6 1/2 feet; thence <br />east 107 1/4 feet to the place of beginning. <br />ALSO. Begin at the south east corner of lot 35 College Grove addition; thence <br />south 6 1/2 feet; thence west 101 1/4 feet; thence north 6 1/2 feet; thence east 101 1/4 <br />feet to the place. of beginning. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />The Board therefore declare the above described property in all things vacated. <br />The property of George Bernhard is benefitted in the amount of $7.50. and the <br />property of -Peter and Stanislaws Jankowski is.benefitted in the amount of $7.50. <br />No property is unjuriously effected. The property of George Bernhard is therefore <br />assessed $7.50 and the property of Peter & Stanislawa Jankowski is assessed-$7.50• <br />Now comes George Bernhard and Peter & Stanislawa Jankowski and waive notice of assessment <br />under vacation Resolution No. 41, and pay into the Treasury of the City of South <br />Bend the sum of $7.50 each. <br />Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 48, vacating the following described <br />property, wo-wit:-- - <br />The alley between the south east corner of lot 128 and the south west <br />corner of lot 128, both in Daniel Garst's First Addition of South Bend City, now a <br />part of *hid City of South Bend, and extending north to the south line of lot 248 in <br />said addition, and running thence east to -the west line extended of lot 250 in Daniel <br />Garst's Re -Plat of lots 121 to 126,bnth inclusive, of his said First Addition to South <br />Bend City(said alley from Tutt street to this point being fourteen (14) feet wide) and <br />running thence south between lot 250 and lot 251 in said Re -Plat on the east and lot <br />127 in said First Addition on the west, to Tutt street. (said part of alley being <br />twelve (12) feet wide). <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />The Board therefore declare the above described property in all things vacated. <br />The property of the Studebaker Bros Mfg. Co. is benefitted in the amount of $50.00 <br />No property is injuriously effected. The property of the Studebaker Bros. Mfg.. Co. <br />in therefore assessed in the amount of 050.00. Now comes the Studebaker Bros. Mfg. Co <br />and waives notice of assessment under Vacation Resolution No. 48, and pays into the <br />Treasury of the City of Soubh Bend the sum of $50.00 <br />
