773 Tuesday August 27th, 1907. The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. Petition filed for Grade, Curb be Walk on 5th street from Linden avenue to Orange street. Petition filed for Pipe Sewer on Harrison avenue from Michigan avenueto Quincy street. Referred to the Engineer for specifications. Proposition of Edward Jones to clean all Walls in the City Hall for $72.50. ACCEPTED. In the matter of the St. Peter Street Grade, Curb & Walk Improvement, a petition was filed, asking that the specifications be amended so)as to eliminate the park way in the Center of the street. The porayer of the petitioners was granted and the City Engineer was instructed to amend said specifications accordingly. Hearing given on Improvement Resolution No. 495 for Grade, Curb & Walk on St. Peter street from Corby street to Napoleon street. In the above matter no further remonstrances were filed and no further remonstrators appeared. All other remonstrances were over -ruled. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvement and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, as amended. Engineer riled estimated cost as follows: St. Peter street Grade, Curb & Walk..............$3,000.00 Be it resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the 29th day of August and on the 4th day of September, 1907, to the effect that this Board will receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A. M. on the loth day of September 1907. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Engineer filed assessment Rolls and final estimates for Brick Pavement on East Washington street from Emerick street to Eddy street and for Grade, Curb, Walk and Macadam on Anderson Court from Park avenue to end of Court. All under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 416 & 423 respectively. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 27th day of August, 1907, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the loth day of September 1907, at 7:15 P. M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 27th day of August 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the loth day of September 1907, at 7:15 P.
