721 The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. ;fir. Nicar absent. Petition'filed for Grade, Curb & Walk on St. Peter street from Corby street to Vapoleon street. Referred to the Engineer for specifications. Hearing given on Assessment Roll and final estimate for Pipe Sewer on Miami street frbm the St. Joseph river to Bowman street, under Improvement Resolution No. 335. No further.,remonstrators and no- _further remonstrances were filed. The Board there - 'ore find that the property assessed in said roll, filed June 4th, 1907, is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said roll, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed June 4th, 1907, and'the final estimate allowed Tune 4th, 19072 except that in the matter of the assessment of $225.59 made against the Hebrew Society of Brotherly Love, the board finds that the real estate so assessed is used for the purpose of a cemetery and that the amount so assessed should be and is hereby assessed egainst the City of South Bend, and the Board further find that of the assessment of A1,146.29 made against the Bowman Cemetery Assn; $506.32 was assessed against the following real estate, to wit:- Begin 6.70 1/2 chains south of the quarter post on line ^f Sec. 18, Twp. 37 N. R. 3 E. thence east 9 chains 31 1/2 links; thence south 3.12 1/2 chains; thence west to west line of Section; thence north to Place of beginning. ALSO Begin at the south west corner of the first Flat of Bowman Cemetery; thence east 9.31 1/3 chains, thence south 141.9 feet; thence west 9.31 1/3 chains; thence north 141.9 feet; to the place of beginning. 'Which said real estate is used for cemetery pur- poses and that said assessment of $506.32 should be and is hereby made against the City,o: South Bend. The Board further finds that of said assessment of $1,146.29, the sum of $639.97 was assessed against the following real estate, to -wit:- Begin at a point 349.05 feet south of the south west corner of lot owned by the Hebrew Society.of Brotherly Love; thence east 9.31 1/3 chains; thence south to the north lineof lot 192 in South East Addition; thence west of Miami street; thence north to place of beginning. And $92.63 was assessed against Lot 192 in the South East Addition to the City of South Bend, which lands are not used for cemetery purposes, and that the said real estate is benefitted by said improvement in the amount of said assessments and are hereby so assessed and teat said assessment roll, amended to conform to the finding should be and - the same is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved.
