Friday March 22nd, 1907. The Board met in regular session at`10 A. M. All Members present. Plat of the Realty & Construction Company's 2nd addition filed and approved. Application filed by Fred Kerner for position in Engineering Departnent. The awarding -of contracts for the Howard street.sewer; East Bronson street; Crescent avenUe;,Jjichigan avenue and West Jefferson street Brick Pavements was deferred until Saturday March 23rd, 1907, at 10 A. M.` Petition filed and referred to `the Engineer for specifications for Brick pavement on California avenue from Leland avenue to DeMaude avenue. Remonstrance filed against curb & Walk on Maple street. Further action on the East Washington street Pavement matter was deferred until Tuesday March 26th, 19072 at10 A. M. Petitions filed for Brick Pavement and Pipe Sewer on Cherry street from Washington --Btreet_ .to Jefferson street The Goshen, South Bend & Chicago R. R. Co. by attorneys Talbot & Talbot filed an application for an interurban railroad franchise to enter South Bend over the following route: Michigan street to Ewing avenue; thence to Main street; thence to ^olfas' avenue. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 425. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Brick Pavement on Miami street from Vistula avenue to Bowman street. Said improvement shall be known and designated, as "THE MIAMI STREET BRICK PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT" and shall ?,e constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 25th day of March and on the 1st day of April, 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 16th day of April 1907, at 7:15 P. M. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the property owner signs waiver required, as according to law. Which said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent. per annum, payable as provided by law. Adopted this 22nd day of March 1907. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. (over)
