Tuesday Feb 26th, 1907. <br />The Board met in regular, session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Petition filed for Asphalt Pavement on.East Washington street from Emerick <br />street to Eddy street. <br />South Bend Electric Co were notified to place the arc light located at the cor <br />of Wayne street& Vistula avenue in the center of the avenue. <br />Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimates for'Pipe.Sewer on College <br />street and Linden avenue from Fassnacht avenue to Johnson sfreet; Sherman avenue <br />from Van Buren street to Michigan avenue; Leland avenue from the lst angle in Leland <br />avenue to Hudson avenue; Notre Dame street from Jefferson street to Sorinstreet, all <br />under Improvement resolutions Nos. 387, 4152 412 & 403 respectively. <br />Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six <br />consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 27th day of Feb, <br />1907, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments <br />at its office in the„City Hall on the 19th day of March, 1907, at 7:15 P. M. <br />Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted <br />and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution <br />shall be published on the 27th day of February, 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times, <br />stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its <br />office in the City Hall on the 19th day of Larch, 1907, at 7:15 P. M. <br />Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 27, appropriating the following <br />described property for public use: <br />All of Lot "A" 1st Plat of Chapin Place, owned by Edward P. & Marie Pearl Chapin. <br />Begin at the S. E. Corner of Lot 41 thence N. Wly on the S line of said lot to S.M. <br />corner of same, thence North on the west line of said lot to a point of intersection <br />of a circle of a'radius of 76 1/2 feet west of the east line of lot 63 in 3rd <br />Plat of .Shetterley's Place, thence S Ely on the line of said. circle to Place of beg. <br />'1st Plat of Chapin Place, owned by .Edward P. & Marie Pearl Chapin. <br />All of Lot 64, 3rd Plat of Shetterley's Place, owned by Ryell T. & Annie P. Miller <br />!and J. L. M. Kate.V. Shetterley. <br />Begin at a point 103 1/2 feet east of the N. W. corner of lot 63 thence S Ely <br />on the line of a circle of a radius of 16 1/2 feet to a point 16 1/2 feet S of the N <br />E corner of said lot, ther-oenter of.which circle is 16 1/2 f eet south of the north <br />line and 16 1/2 feet west of the east line of the lot, thence 16 1/2 feet north to <br />the N E corner of said lot, thence 16 1/2 feet west to place of beginning, 3rd Plat <br />or Shetterley's Place, owned by Frank H. & Flora 14. Goodman. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed, <br />the Board therefore declare the above described property condemned and jappropriated <br />for public use. <br />The City Engineer was instructed to make up the roll showing the awards of <br />damages and the assessment for benefits. <br />I - % <br />
