Section VI . Chapter 6, Article 7, Section 6-36. 3 of the South Bend Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows : Section 6-36. 3. Permits. (a) Required in advance . No person shall perform or cause to be performed the installation of heating , ventilating , air conditioning or refrigeration equipment or systems without obtaining , in advance, a permit form the Department. ( b) Fees. Each application for a permit for installation of heating , ventilating, air conditioning , and refrigeration equipment or systems shall be accompanied by fees in accordance with the schedule below. When the total capacity of any system in any single installation is provided by more than one ( 1) unit, the sum of the capacities of each unit and the total number of such units shall determine the fee .
