1 <br /> • <br /> (c) Other limitations on permit issuance : <br /> 1 . An excavator may only be issued a permit for <br /> sewer and water line work from a distance of two (2) feet outside of <br /> the foundation walls of any building or structure to the public way. <br /> 2. A fire protection sprinkler contract may only <br /> be issued a permit to install or repair fire protection sprinkler <br /> systems. <br /> 3. A lawn sprinkler system contractor may only be <br /> issued a permit to install or repair lawn sprinkler systems, <br /> including backflow protection devices. <br /> 4. A maintenance technician may only be issued a <br /> permit to repair plumbing or to replace fixtures which require no <br /> changes to the piping , provided that the repair or replacement is to <br /> plumbing at his regular place or employment as a maintenance <br /> technician. <br /> 5. A sewer cleaner may only be issued a permit to <br /> repair or alter existing drainage piping , or to install sewer or <br /> water lines, from a distance of two ( 2) feet outside of any building <br /> or structure to the public way. <br /> 6. A swimming pool installer may only be issued <br /> permits required for work connected with the installation of swimming <br /> pools . <br /> 7. A water softener dealer may only be issued a <br /> permit to install water softening equipment or apparatus . <br /> (-C)-(D) All plumbing installations requiring a permit shall be <br /> inspected by the plumbing inspector three ( 3) times, once each for <br /> underground work, rough-in work, and final completion. A complete <br /> line test shall also be supervised by the plumbing inspector. The <br /> plumbing permit holder shall notify the plumbing inspector at least <br /> twenty-four ( 24) hours in advance of the time the work is ready for <br /> inspection. If the work does not pass inspection, a reinspection fee <br /> of ten dollars ( $10. 00) shall be charged for each future inspection <br /> of that stage of work. <br /> SECTION IV. Chapter 6, Article 1, Section 6-2)4 is amended <br /> to read as follows : <br /> Section 6-24. Permits. <br /> ( a) Required in advance .
