,The Board met in regular <br />mr.Papezinski.being absent. <br />All business transacted was done <br />session at10 O'clock A.M.. <br />by unaniMous vote of the Board. <br />City Engineer reported grade on Spruce Place,from Colfax Avenue to the <br />first Alley south. Same was approved. <br />City Engineer reported grade on the first Alley north of Colfax-_:Avenues°fr6m <br />Frances street to Notra Dame avenue, Same was approved. <br />Petition filed by D.O.Kingsley & A.J.Koontz. asking_ permission to <br />Operate a Boat Livery at Howard Park. <br />The City Engineer filed Assessment rolls and Final estimates for <br />Grade,Curb & Walk on Fisher Street,from Harris street to the 2nd,,alley west. <br />Also assessment for Grade,Curb & Walk on Kosciuszko Street,from Dunham street <br />to Sample street. Under improvement resolutions No.260 & 261. <br />0 <br />RESOLVED, that notices as to the amounts of assessments <br />be published,'for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, <br />Commencing on the 22nd,day of August 1906, stating that this Board will. <br />give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City <br />Hall on the llth,day of September 1906, at 7:15 P.M. <br />RESOLVED further, that the entire work under the'above <br />Contrac$s be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 22nd,day of August 1906, <br />in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this BOARD will give a hearing <br />on the acceptance of such work,at its office in the City Hall on the llth, <br />day of September 1906,at 7:15 P.M. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION 90.393• <br />Resolved by the BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS Of the City of South <br />Bend,Indians: That an improvement be made of the kind,size.location and <br />terminal points as follows: Water Connections on Michigan Avenue from <br />Wilber Street to the first Alley west of Johnson street. Said improvement <br />shall be known and designated as THE MICHIGAN AVENUE WATER CONNECTIONS <br />IMPROVEMENT, And shall be constructed according totthe plans and specifi- <br />-cations prepared by the City Cicil Engineer,.filed herewith.. Notice and <br />proposals for bids for the execution of the above work shall be published <br />on the 21st,day of August and on the 21th,.day of August 1906,in the South <br />Bend Daily Times .This Board will receive bids up to 10 A.M. on the 29th, <br />day of August 1906. <br />Adopted this 21st,day of August 1906. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />0 <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0.394. <br />RESOLVED by the BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind,size,location and terminal <br />points as follows Asphalt Pavement on Notra Dame Street,from Jefferson street <br />to Cedar street.Said improvement shall be known and designated as THE NOTRA <br />DAME STREET ASPHALT PAVEMEM and shall be constructed according to the plans <br />and Specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer,filed herewith. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 22nd,day of August and <br />on the 29th,day of August 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times.This BOARD <br />will give a hearing on this resolution at its offoce in the City Hall on the <br />llth,day of September 1906,at 7.:15 P.M. <br />A Borid or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for <br />such work where the property owner signs waiver required,as according to law. <br />Which said Bonds shall bear interest at the rate of five per cent.per annum, <br />payable as provided by law. <br />
