462 <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. Id. All members present. <br />_ Bond of C. Coussens &.Co filed and approved and contract signed. for the <br />Chestnut street Pipe Sewer. <br />Bids were opened and referred to the Engineer for tabulation for the following <br />improvements;- <br />Marietta & Bronson street Brick Pavement; Parry street Curb & Walk and <br />Columbia street, Marietta & Bronson street, W. Tutt street and S. Lafayette <br />street Sewer and Water connections. <br />Remonstrance against the Crescent avenue Pipe Sewer was over -ruled by the <br />following vote Nicar and Papczynski Aye McInerny Naye. The Engineer was instructed <br />to proceed with the preparation of plans etc. <br />A 50 C. P. lamp was ordered installed on Jaquith Court midway between <br />Prairie avenue and Chapin street. <br />South Bend & Mishawaka Gas Company were notified to relay the pavement,which <br />they misplaced, on N. Michigan street; North Shore Drive and at the intersection <br />of Monroe and Fellows streets. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 360. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That an Improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as <br />follows: A Brick (bjock)­_pavement on South Lafayette street from Sample street <br />to Broadway street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "THE SOUTH <br />LAFAYETTE STREET BRICK PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according <br />to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 6th day of June and on the 13th <br />day of June, 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a <br />hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hail on the 26th day of June, <br />1906, at 7:15 P. M. <br />A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where <br />the property owner signs waiver required as according to law. Which said bonds <br />shall bear interest at the rate of five per cent per annum payable as provided <br />by law. <br />Adopted this 5th day of June 1906. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />
