4243 Tuesday April 17th, 1906. The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 22, appropriating -the following described property for alley purposes: A Strip Nine feet nine tenths (9.9) wide off the north end of lots 41, 42, 43 and F in Rockafellers 2nd addition. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the above described property should be and the same is hereby in all things condemned and appropriated for a public alley. Hearing given on Declaratory Resolutions for the following improvements, to -wit: Asphalt Pavement on S. Main street from Washington street to Jefferson street, Asphalt pavement on William street from Colfax avenue to Washington street, Asphalt pavement on E. Jefferson street from Vistula avenue to Bridge, Brick Pavement on W. Washington street from College street to Olive street, Brick pavement on Leland avenue from Marion street to Portage avenue, Brick Pavement on Cushing street from Michigan avenue to Portage avenue, Pipe Sewer on Walnut street and Linden avenue from Fassnacht avenue to Birdsell street, Pipe Sewer on Linden avenue from Meade street to Anthony street. All under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 323, �24, 325, 326, 3279 328, 329 & 330 respectively. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bent' are equal to the estimated Cost of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. , Engineer filed estimated cost as follows: S. Main street Asphalt $-6072.00 William street Asphalt 3,520.00 E. Jefferson street Asphalt 52000.00, W. Washington street brick 159520.00 Leland avenue Brick 6,656.0o Cushing street Brick 10,742.00 Walnut street & Linden avenue sewer 42500.00 Linden avenue sewer 12900.00 Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the 17th day of April and on the 24th day of April 1906, 9t the effect that this Board will receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A.. M. on the 29th day of April, 1906. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Remonstrance of Wilhelmina Ginn, by Atty Handly & Pyle on the William street Asphalt Pavement, was over -ruled. Hearing on Chestnut street Pipe Sewer resolution, deferred until Wednesday April l8th, 1906, at 10 A. M. Contract awarded to Sidmon & Dambacher for the Fassnacht avenue Grade, Curb & Walk Improvement.
