4243 <br />Tuesday April 17th, 1906. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 22, appropriating -the following <br />described property for alley purposes: <br />A Strip Nine feet nine tenths (9.9) wide off the north end of lots 41, 42, 43 <br />and F in Rockafellers 2nd addition. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />The Board therefore find that the above described property should be and the same <br />is hereby in all things condemned and appropriated for a public alley. <br />Hearing given on Declaratory Resolutions for the following improvements, to -wit: <br />Asphalt Pavement on S. Main street from Washington street to Jefferson street, Asphalt <br />pavement on William street from Colfax avenue to Washington street, Asphalt pavement <br />on E. Jefferson street from Vistula avenue to Bridge, Brick Pavement on W. Washington <br />street from College street to Olive street, Brick pavement on Leland avenue from <br />Marion street to Portage avenue, Brick Pavement on Cushing street from Michigan avenue <br />to Portage avenue, Pipe Sewer on Walnut street and Linden avenue from Fassnacht <br />avenue to Birdsell street, Pipe Sewer on Linden avenue from Meade street to Anthony <br />street. All under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 323, �24, 325, 326, 3279 328, 329 <br />& 330 respectively. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits <br />to the property and to the City of South Bent' are equal to the estimated Cost of <br />said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and <br />approved. , <br />Engineer filed estimated cost as follows: <br />S. Main street Asphalt <br />$-6072.00 <br />William street Asphalt <br />3,520.00 <br />E. Jefferson street Asphalt <br />52000.00, <br />W. Washington street brick <br />159520.00 <br />Leland avenue Brick <br />6,656.0o <br />Cushing street Brick <br />10,742.00 <br />Walnut street & Linden avenue sewer <br />42500.00 <br />Linden avenue sewer <br />12900.00 <br />Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the <br />17th day of April and on the 24th day of April 1906, 9t the effect that this Board <br />will receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A.. M. on the 29th day of April, 1906. <br />The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. <br />Remonstrance of Wilhelmina Ginn, by Atty Handly & Pyle on the William street <br />Asphalt Pavement, was over -ruled. <br />Hearing on Chestnut street Pipe Sewer resolution, deferred until Wednesday <br />April l8th, 1906, at 10 A. M. <br />Contract awarded to Sidmon & Dambacher for the Fassnacht avenue Grade, Curb & <br />Walk Improvement. <br />
