Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> Committee Report <br /> The November 8, 2004 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to <br /> order by its Chairperson, Council Member Ervin Kuspa at 3:36 p.m. in the Council Informal <br /> Meeting Room. Persons in attendance included Council Members Dieter, Pfeifer, Kelly, <br /> Puzzello, Kirsits, Varner, Kuspa, White and Coleman; City Clerk John Voorde, Rita Kopala, <br /> John Lesczynski, Planner Angela Smith, Community and Economic Development Executive <br /> Director Sharon Kendall,Bernie Feenie, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Kuspa noted that the Zoning and Annexation Committee Members <br /> include Council Members Puzzello,Kelly, Coleman and himself. <br /> Council Member Kuspa noted that letters dated November 3, 2004(copies attached)have <br /> requested that Bill No. 04-81 addressing the fiscal plan for the Steve and Jean Cooreman <br /> annexation and Bill No. 28-04 addressing the annexation and rezoning petition for the Steve and <br /> Jean Cooreman annexation for the property located at 21300 block of Cleveland Road be <br /> continued indefinitely. <br /> Council Member Puzzello made a motion, seconded by Council Member Kelly that both <br /> bills be continued indefinitely at the request of the petitioners. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member Kuspa then called for a presentation on Bill No. 62-04 which would <br /> amend the zoning ordinance for the properties located at 1442 Deerfield Court and 6450 Miami <br /> Circle,both of which are located in Councilmanic District# 5. <br /> Planner Angela Smith of the Area Plan staff noted that the Bill received a favorable <br /> recommendation from the Area Plan Commission. <br /> John Lesczynski of the Troyer Group made the presentation. He noted that the two (2) <br /> lots are located in Southfield. The PUD classification would permit development which would <br /> be predominately residential in this multi-generational development. Small businesses would be <br /> permitted which service the population living therein. <br /> In response to a question from Dr. Varner, Ms. Smith noted that the two (2) property are <br /> new to the PUD. Council Member Puzzello then made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Kelly that Bill No. 62-04 be recommended favorably to Council.
