• Licensed Medical Practitioner means a person who is <br />licensed, certified, and/or registered, in accordance with <br />applicable Federal, State, Local, or Foreign laws and <br />regulations to prescribe controlled substances and <br />other drugs. <br />• Medical Review Officer (MRO) means a Licensed <br />Physician, registered with the American Association <br />of Medical Review Officers (www.aamro.com), <br />responsible for receiving laboratory results generated by <br />BCRC's drug testing program who has knowledge of <br />substance abuse disorders and who has appropriate <br />medical training to interpret and evaluate an <br />individual's confirmed positive test result together with <br />his/her medical history and any other relevant <br />biomedical information. <br />• N/A or Not Available means that an Employee is not <br />available for work and is not currently compliant with <br />this Policy when used with respect to the BCRC status <br />of an Employee. (NOTE: An Employee can be N/A <br />for several reasons, which may or may not include failing <br />a drug or alcohol test). <br />• New Employee/Applicant means a person who has not <br />been previously tested by BCRC and includes a person <br />referred for pre-employment testing. <br />• Non -Compliant Event means any of the following: <br />(a) a Positive Test for alcohol or drugs (which shall also <br />include any Positive Tests that occur during any <br />retesting), (b) an -Insufficient Specimen if an appropriate <br />medical professional determines that there is no <br />legitimate medical reason for the Insufficient Specimen, <br />(c) a negative Dilute Specimen if the Employee fails <br />to provide a second (2nd) testing sample within the <br />applicable time period specified in this BCRC Policy <br />12 <br />
