<br /> <br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Laura Hensley, Administrative Assistant <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Kyle Silveus, Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Project No. 121-061 <br />Ward Bakery Exterior Renovations <br />DATE: November 3, 2021 <br /> <br />On October 26, 2021, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project. <br />There were two bidders for Bid Package 1 and one bidder for Bid Package 2. <br /> <br />The bidders were as follows: <br />Bid Package 1 - Masonry <br />Bidder Base Bid Amount <br />1. Ziolkowski Construction, Inc. $112,767 <br />2. Slatile Roofing and Restoration Co., Inc. $283,000 <br /> <br />Bid Package 2 – Doors and Windows <br />Bidder Base Bid Amount <br />1. R. Yoder Construction, Inc. $205,000 <br /> <br />The Division of Engineering has reviewed all the bids and recommends that the Board reject all <br />bids. The bids are beyond the project budget. The project scope and schedule will be adjusted <br />and re-advertised at a later date. <br /> <br />MBE/WBE Summary <br /> <br />BP1 <br />Ziolkowski Construction was able to meet MBE/WBE utilization goals <br /> MBE/WBE – 5.1% (Goal - 0.3% MBE, 3.6% WBE) <br />Slatile did not complete the correct MBE/WBE forms but provided the following <br />MBE/WBE utilization <br /> MBE - 2.8% (Goal - 0.3%) <br /> WBE – 3% (Goal-3.6%) <br />BP2 <br />R Yoder was not able to meet MBE/WBE goals <br /> MBE- Reached out to one firm, unable to secure a bid <br /> WBE- Reached out to two firms, unable to secure bids <br /> <br />
