All rights reserved. <br />This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 14 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated , . <br />Engineer’s Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />PART 1 – BASIC SERVICES <br />The Owner has requested the Engineering Design, Bid, and Construction phase services for the Owner’s <br />WWTP CSO 045 Equalization (EQ) Basin Improvements as required under its Federal Consent Decree for <br />control of combined sewer overflows (CSO). This project will be designed for control of CSO area 045. <br />The proposed project will capture the required storage volume of 2.0 million gallons of combined sewer <br />overflow (CSO). The stored CSO will be pumped to the WWTP within 48 hours of the storm event for full <br />treatment. In general, the improvements and upgrading project includes the following: <br />1. Construction of a concrete equalization basin with the following major components: <br />a.Reconstructing new outfall at CSO 045 <br />b. 19-20 feet deep for 2 MG tank <br />c.Relocating I/N Kote Sanitary Trunk Sewer will require 2.1 to 2.5 MG/day bypass during <br />tie-in work <br />d. New regulator at CSO 045 to divert CSOs to the EQ Basin during large storm events <br />e.Underground concrete storage basin approximately “100” feet by “140” feet <br />f.Nine (9) flushing gates <br />g.Dewatering pumps capable of dewatering the EQ Basin within 48 hours <br />h. Control building <br />i.Instrumentation and controls <br />j.Flushing water system <br />k. Temporary shoring system design <br />l.Access road to CSO 45 and River Crossing 7 Receiving Chamber, RC-7 <br />m.Access hatch improvement, embankment stabilization fiber <br />n. Communication network infrastructure <br />o.Electrical power/back-up generator power <br />2.
