TEAM PROJECT APPROACH RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 11HWC ENGINEERING | CITY OF SOUTH BEND: COAL LINE TRAIL (PHASE II)FIRM OVERVIEW <br />HWC provided full-time inspection for the Bloomfield Avenue/2nd Street Trail and <br />Signal project. The scope of the project included filling in existing gaps in multi-use <br />path along the north side of 2nd Street between Adams Street and Patterson Drive <br />and to address existing deficiencies at the signalized intersection of 2nd Street and <br />Patterson Drive; and Bloomfield Road & Landmark Avenue. <br />The constructed path was 10’ wide with a 2-5’ buffer. At the intersections of 2nd <br />Street & Patterson Drive and Bloomfield Road/2nd & Landmark Avenue, new <br />signals were installed that included new signal heads, pedestrian signal indication, <br />pedestrian push-button crosswalks, and Public Right-of-Way Accessibility compliant <br />curb ramps. <br />The project was funded by INDOT and the City of Bloomington. The project was <br />completed in 2019 with a cost of $1.533 million. <br />HWC was responsible for the full-time inspection of the Morgan Street <br />Streetscape and the Flatrock Trail projects in Rushville, Indiana. <br />These projects included a new terrain HMA trail along with a widened <br />sidewalk for enhanced pedestrian travel. The projects ran from the Rushville <br />City library in downtown Rushville to Riverside Park, nestled along the <br />Flatrock River. The projects included several new structural and decorative <br />enhancements. Structural enhancements included storm sewer, concrete curb, <br />HMA for the new trail, new concrete sidewalk, and new PCCP for drives. <br />Decorative enhancements included traffic signage, enhanced pedestrian <br />lighting through the corridor, historical markers and signs, decorative <br />thermoplastic crosswalks, farmers market wayward striping, new benches, <br />bicycle racks, trash receptacles, and decorative etched pavers throughout <br />the walkways. Decorative elements also included new limestone seat walls, <br />landscape beds, granite pavers, and a new amphitheater area with terraced <br />limestone seat walls. <br />This project was funded with INDOT LPA funds and by the City of Rushville. <br />The total cost was $1.8 million and was completed in November of 2020. <br />Morgan Street Streetscape & Flatrock TrailBloomfield Avenue Intersection Improvements <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: HWC <br />BLOOMINGTON, IN RUSHVILLE, IN
