SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING December 19. 2012 1400S County-City Building 10:30 a.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard Presiding: Carolyn Pfotenhauer South Bend, IN 46601 The December 19, 2012 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at 10:30 a.m. by its Vice-President, Carolyn Pfotenhauer. There was a quorum present. 1. ROLL CALL Members Present: Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, Vice President Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary Member Absent: Mr. Ray Thomas, President Redevelopment Staff: Mr. Dave Relos, Associate— Economic Resources Mrs. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. Approval of the minutes of August 15, 2012 Upon a motion by Jose Alvarez, seconded by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 15, 2011. 3. NEW BUSINESS a. Authority approval requested for Resolution No. 179 approving the transfer of real property to the City of South Bend Mr. Relos said our department is going through the different development areas looking at properties that are owned by the Redevelopment Authority and Redevelopment Commission to see if any are not developable sites and then have those properties transferred to the civil city or the Park Department. The site listed in Resolution No. 179 is one that would better be suited for either the civil city or the Park Department. The Board of Public Works then will need to accept the property and then a deed will need to be done to transfer the property. Most of the river walk and property near it are in the civil city's name and the Park Department's name. Ms. Pfotenhauer said she had wondered if the property for the river walk is in the Park Department's name or the civil city's. She also wondered if the Authority owned any other property along the river walk. Mr. Relos said the Authority does not own any other property in that area, all others are in the civil city or Park Department's name. The majority of the property north of Jefferson Blvd. is owned by the civil city.
