Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 118-302R North Pumping Station Flood Damage Repairs <br />PROJ00000306; PR-00012393) <br />Agenda Request – Quote Opening <br />DATE: October 4, 2021 <br />The Division of Engineering and Division of Utilities requests the Board of Public Works receive and <br />open quotations for the subject at its October 12, 2021, Regular Meeting. <br /> <br />Background and Purpose <br />The historic Flood of 2018 impacted the high-water level of the St. Joseph River and ground water <br />table at Leeper Park and the North Pumping Station. The resulting high ground water table resulted <br />in infiltration through the lower basement (pump room) walls in the North Pumping Station. Frost <br />Engineering & Consulting previously assisted in the initial structural investigation of the building and <br />provided its initial report findings under a previous agreement. <br /> <br />Plans and Specifications for the repairs to the North Pumping Station building include re-bedding <br />the 30” water distribution pipe from the exterior of the building, grout injection, masonry tuck <br />pointing, masonry closure work inside the building, concrete sidewalk restoration, and curb <br />restoration. <br /> <br /> MBE Goal: 0.71% <br /> WBE Goal: 2.81% <br /> <br />As directed by the City Controller, the project is funded out of Liability Insurance Account 226- <br />04-405-414-443001. <br /> <br />For questions regarding the subject agenda request, contact Jacob M.
