Joint Meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee and the Health and Public Safety Committee The joint meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee and the Health and Public Safety Committee was called to order by Community and Economic Development Committee Chaiperson Roland Kelly at 4:10 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. Persons in attendance included Council Members Dieter, Pfeifer, Kelly, Puzzello, Varner, Kuspa, Coleman, Kirsits and White; City Clerk John Voorde, Executive Director of the Department of Community and Economic Development Department Sharon Kendall, Andy Laurent, Park Superintendent Phil St. Clair, Rita Kopola, and Council Attorney Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 64-04 which would appropriate $31,045 of the Indiana Development Finance Authority grant funds within Fund # 210 for the purpose of environmental investigation of property located at 520 and 522 Lincoln Way West and 335 m' y Kuntsman Court. Andy Laurent, an Economic Development Specialist, made the presentation. He noted that this is the second appropriation with the first one being for $26,000. Approximately three (3) acres are involved. Mr. Laurent noted in response to a question from Council Member Puzzello that White Lightning is the name for the former business establishment at this location. Council Member Kuspa then made a motion, seconded by Council Member Coleman that Bill No. 64-04 be recommended favorably to Council.
