Joint Meeting of the Community and Economic Development <br /> Committee <br /> and the <br /> Health and Public Safety Committee <br /> The joint meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee and the Health and <br /> Public Safety Committee was called to order by Community and Economic Development <br /> Committee Chaiperson Roland Kelly at 4:10 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Dieter, Pfeifer, Kelly, Puzzello, Varner, <br /> Kuspa, Coleman, Kirsits and White; City Clerk John Voorde, Executive Director of the <br /> Department of Community and Economic Development Department Sharon Kendall, Andy <br /> Laurent, Park Superintendent Phil St. Clair, Rita Kopola, and Council Attorney Kathleen <br /> Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 64-04 which would appropriate $31,045 of <br /> the Indiana Development Finance Authority grant funds within Fund # 210 for the purpose of <br /> environmental investigation of property located at 520 and 522 Lincoln Way West and 335 <br /> m' y <br /> Kuntsman Court. <br /> Andy Laurent, an Economic Development Specialist, made the presentation. He noted that this <br /> is the second appropriation with the first one being for $26,000. Approximately three (3) acres <br /> are involved. <br /> Mr. Laurent noted in response to a question from Council Member Puzzello that White <br /> Lightning is the name for the former business establishment at this location. <br /> Council Member Kuspa then made a motion, seconded by Council Member Coleman that Bill <br /> No. 64-04 be recommended favorably to Council. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Joint Committee meeting, the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 4:14 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Roland Kelly,Chairperson <br /> Community and Economic Development Committee <br /> Council Member Ann Puzzello, Chairperson <br /> Health and Public Safety Committee <br /> KCF:kmf <br /> Attachment <br />
