I ._.L _-•IL A/ �!! <br /> Council Member Kelly then called for a presentation on Bill No. 74-04 which would <br /> appropriate $595,591 within Fund# 212 for the purpose of defraying administrative costs of the <br /> Department of the Department of Community and Economic Development. <br /> John Sellers noted that this request was discussed at an earlier committee meeting. The <br /> monies are from fees,interest income,and staff support contracts. <br /> Council Member Kuspa made a motion, seconded by Council.Member Kirsits that Bill <br /> No. 74-04 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member Kelly then called for a presentation on Bill No. 75-04 which would <br /> appropriate $28,919 from Economic Development State Grant Fund # 210 for the purpose of <br /> assisting the Division of Economic Development's administrative budget. <br /> John Sellers noted that this request was discussed at an earlier committee meeting. <br /> Council Member Kuspa made a motion, seconded by Council Member Kirsits that Bill <br /> No. 74-04 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member Kelly then called for a presentation on Bill No. 76-04 which would <br /> appropriate$124,736 from HUD's emergency shelter grant program. <br /> Mr. Sellers noted that the funds would be allocated among the four (4) listed agencies <br /> (Center for the Homeless,Aids Ministries/Aids Assists, Youth Services Bureau, and YWCA); as <br /> well as$5,000 for administrative costs. No public comments were received. <br /> Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council Member Kuspa that Bill <br /> No. 76-04 be recommended favorably. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member Kelly called for a presentation on Bill No. 77-04 which would transfer <br /> $628,334 among various accounts within Fund # 212 in the Department of Community & <br /> Economic Development. <br /> The Council Attorney noted that since a substitute bill has been filed changing the <br /> transfer amount from $628,334 to $658,334; that the Bill will need to be accepted this evening <br /> so that the new title may be advertised and then set for public hearing at the November 22nd <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Council Member Kirsits made a motion to that effect, which was seconded by Council <br /> Member Kuspa. The motion passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member Kelly <br /> adjourned the meeting at 5:18 p.m. <br /> November 8,2004 Community and Economic Development Committee Page 3 <br />
