Once the notice to proceed is delivered and signed, GRC can start the submittal
process for the materials used in the project and permit application. The actual
start of the project would depend on the submittal approval time and fabrication
and delivery to site of reinforcing steel and the flexible flap gate. Currently the
flap gate submittal is 2-3 weeks, and the flap gate procurement is 12-14 weeks.
b. Once the materials are delivered on site GRC can start with the isolation of the
structure and removal of the existing structure lid, backwater valve and backing
plate.
c. GRC will continue with the installation of the new coplastix flanged frame,
flexible flap valve and new structure lid, followed by the leakage testing of the
new equipment.
d. Due to the size of the project GRC anticipates a crew of 3-4 workers on site.
