Committee Ulm t <br /> Zoning anti Invocation committtt <br /> The January 13, 2003 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order by its <br /> Chairperson,Council Member Ervin Kuspa at 4:45 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Varner, Kirsits,Aranowski, Pfeifer, King, <br /> Kelly, Coleman, Kuspa and White; Community & Economic Development Director Jon Hunt, <br /> Building Commissioner Don Fozo, Michael Danch, Terry Bland of the loud) lOitaT Zribunt <br /> and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Kuspa noted that the Zoning and Annexation Committee Members for 2003 <br /> included Council Members Coleman, Varner,Kuspa,Kelly and himself. <br /> Council Member Kuspa noted that the first item to be reviewed was Bill No. 02-92 which is a <br /> request to approve a petition of the South Bend Board of Zoning Appeals for the property located <br /> at 201 &209 South Chapin Street Council Member Kuspa then called for a report from the Board <br /> of Zoning Appeals on the Bill. <br /> Don Fozo, Building Commissioner, stated that the petition was heard by the Board of Zoning <br /> Appeals on December 19,2002, and received a favorable recommendation. <br /> Michael J. Danch, the President of Danch, Hamer &Associates, Inc. then made a presentation on <br /> behalf of the petitioner, Planned Parenthood of North Central Indiana, Inc. He noted that the <br /> special exception would allow the existing home at 201 South Chapin to be used as a residential <br /> property while the building at 209 South Chapin to be used as an office in the "C" commercial <br /> zoning district. Mr. Danch stated that the buildings are connected by an existing hallway, and <br /> provided a BZA Site Plan to the Committee(copy attached). <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Kelly that Bill No. 02-92 be recommended favorably to Council.
