(tommitt u . ort <br /> marks, Ucration, turturaz 'Arts' aln4 Cttt*rtaittmtttt eommitt* <br /> The July 28, 2003 meeting of the Parks, Recreation, Cultural Arts and Entertainment Committee <br /> was called to order by its Vice-Chairperson,Council Member James Aranowski at 4:22 p.m. in the <br /> Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski,Kelly,Pfeifer, King, Varner,White, <br /> Kirsits and Kuspa; David Davenport,Mike Danch, Bill Schalliol, Jack Dillon, Carl Littrell, Terry <br /> Bland of the outhj 000 tribntttt and Council Attorney Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Aranowski noted that he was chairing the meeting in light of Council Member <br /> Coleman's absence due to the passing of his mother. Council Member Aranowski stated that the <br /> update on the 21st Century Parks Initiative would therefore be postponed. <br /> Council Member Aranowski then called for a presentation on Bill No. 54-03 which is a request to <br /> appropriate$42,000 from the Morris Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund(Fund#416). <br /> David Davenport made the presentation. The revenues which are generated by a ticket surcharge <br /> would be used to fund a variety of facility capital improvements which he then summarized. Major <br /> items include: $ 12,500 for box office computers, $ 10,000 to upgrade the frequency drive, $8,00 <br /> to make adjustments/repairs to the concrete curbs noting that three(3) buses have been damaged by <br /> the current curbs, $ 5,000 for painting, $ 2,500 for storage cabinets, $ 2,250 for 2-way radios, <br /> and$ 1,750 for a floor burnisher. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member King made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Kuspa that Bill No. 54-03 be recommended favorably to Council.
