Talboom Deputy <br /> Mary Beth Wisniewski Chief Deputy <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott made a motion that the minutes of the October 8, 2012, Meeting of the <br />Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion <br />which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL <br />Council Attorney Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand advised that there will be a Special Meeting of the <br />South Bend Common Council for the sole purpose of hearing Bill Nos. Substitute Bill No. 42- <br />12; 43-12; 44-12; 54-12; and 57-12 for Public Hearing, Second and Third Reading on Monday, <br />th <br />October 29, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 4 Floor County-City Building, 227 W. <br />Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana. Councilmember Scott made a motion to the <br />aforementioned. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of <br />nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br />Council Attorney Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand noted that three (3) of those bills are budgetary <br />related; one involves the non-bargaining salary ordinance for next year as well as a proposed bill <br />for the firefighters.
