(Committee wort: <br /> Iublic Works an mat Vropertt Vacation Committee <br /> The June 24, 2002 committee meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation was called to <br /> order by its Chairperson Council Member David Varner at 4:13 pm in the Council Informal <br /> Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Kelly, Varner, Pfeifer, Aranowski, King, <br /> Ujdak, Coleman, White and Kirsits; Citizen Member Khadijah Muhammad, Director of Public <br /> Works Gary Gilot, Bob Case, Thomas Veldman, Terry Bland of the groutb Viatti grtbui u, <br /> and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand,Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Varner noted that James A. Masters, the attorney for the Petitioner on Bill No. <br /> 40-02 sent a letter dated July 24, 2002 requesting that this Bill be continued to the July 8, 2002 <br /> meeting(letter attached). <br /> Council Member Varner then called for a presentation on Bill No. 41-02 which would vacate a <br /> portion of Vorden Court in the BW Business Park Subdivision. Dr. Varner noted that the Board <br /> of Public Works has sent a favorable recommendation on the proposed vacation(copy attached). <br /> Mr. Thomas Veldman,President of BW Business Park, LLC made the presentation. Mr. Veldman <br /> stated that the vacation is necessary to facilitate the economic development of the Blackthorn West <br /> Business Park in order to benefit the general public and stimulate growth. He showed a drawing <br /> of the area in question. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> King that Bill No.41-02 be recommended favorably to Council.
