II <br /> it <br /> COmmitt ort: <br /> Zoning aub tnn*xation Qommtttets <br /> The July 22, 2002 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order by its <br /> Chairperson Council Member Karen L. White at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members White, Varner, Kirsits, King, Coleman, <br /> Aranowski,Pfeifer,and Kelly;Mary Beth Wiseman,Terry Bland of the Otttfj WO ITV Om <br /> and Kathy Cekanski Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member White noted that the first item on the agenda was Bill No. 30-02 which is a <br /> voluntary annexation requested by Mary Beth Wiseman. <br /> Mary Beth Wiseman made the presentation. She noted that in light of the failure of her septic <br /> system, she was forced to request the annexation so that she could have access to the city sewer <br /> and water systems. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Varner that Bill No. 30-02 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member White noted that the Council has received a letter dated July 15, 2002 form <br /> Michael J. Danch, President of Danch, Harper &Associates, Ltd. (Copy attached) requesting that <br /> Bill No. 33-02 addressing the annexation and rezoning for the Raitt Corporation be continued <br /> indefinitely. <br /> Council Member White stated that the Council should have received a lengthy memorandum from <br /> the Council Attorney addressing background information on the proposed comprehensive plan. <br /> The first of several meetings on the proposed comprehensive plan has been scheduled for an hour <br /> on August 12th at 3:30 p.m. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member White adjourned <br /> the meeting at 5:08 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Karen White, Chairperson <br /> Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> KCF:kmf <br /> Attachments <br />
