South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Special Meeting -June 13, 2008 <br />3. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearing <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2459. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2459 <br />authorizing the execution of a Second <br />Addendum to Lease for certain public <br />improvements on behalf of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, and regarding other related <br />matters. (Century Center improvements) <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2458 designating and <br />declaring an amendment to the <br />Development Plan for the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Adding East <br />Bank Village Master Plan) <br />Jitin Kain noted that the South Bend Central <br />Development Area contains three sub-areas, <br />one of which is the East Bank Area. There <br />has been considerable planning going on in <br />the East Bank among residents and business <br />owners, under the direction of JJR, to <br />develop this conceptual plan for the East <br />Bank, and participants would like it <br />incorporated into the South Bend Central <br />Development Area Development Plan. <br />Mr. Kain noted that if the Declaratory <br />Resolution is approved today, the next step <br />would be to take it to the Area Plan <br />Commission on June 17 followed by <br />consideration by the South Bend Common <br />Council on June 23, after which notice will <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2459 <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND <br />ADDENDUM TO LEASE FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND REGARDING OTHER <br />RELATED MATTERS.
