Community and Economic Development Committee
I February 25,2002
Page 2
Following discussion, Council Member Ujdak made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner, that Bill
No. 02-13 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
Under miscellaneous business, Fire Chief Taylor noted that applications will be taken by the Fire
Department between March 4th and April 12th. He hopes to network with Ivy Tech and IUSB.
Council Member Pfeifer stated she would assist Chief Taylor in having material distributed in the
IUSB Cafeteria and announcements made via the internet.
Mr. Gary Gilot stated that the Board of Public Works today took action with regard to a portion of
an old annexation on the north side of Cleveland Road which would have needed a bridge. The
Council Attorney noted that she is working with the Legal Department and the City Clerk's Office
on this matter since several questions have been raised on the procedure and documentation
needed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member King adjourned
the meeting at 4:43 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Council Member Karl King, Chairperson
Community and Economic Development Committee
KCF:kmf
Attachments
