city of South Bend and had been empty ever since. I bought it in early January 2021 and am  <br />undertaking a general restoration.  <br />  <br />Specific points covered in this CoA application:  <br />  <br />(1) raise height of window on mudroom to match other windows. <br /> <br />The enclosed back porch/mudroom has been totally reconstructed this year due to <br />extensive water damage. It now has three much larger windows salvaged from the <br />formerly enclosed front porch, which face the back yard. I had intended to simply mend <br />and re-install the fourth window which faces the side yard; however, when removing it I <br />discovered serious damage to the studs which had been mostly hidden by the interior <br />trim. Since we have to reframe this wall anyway, I’d like to take the opportunity to raise <br />the head height of the window approximately 18 inches to match the other three <br />mudroom windows. This photo shows both the damaged studs and the proposed <br />change from the interior. <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />The next image shows the original proposal for the mudroom work, including the window in  <br />question (to the far left on the north elevation.)
