However, the absence of a sign shall not be a defense to an ordinance <br />violation under this Article if the Defendant had knowledge of the prohibition against firearms <br />on the premises. <br />Section VIII. Chapter 13, Article 10, Section 111 is hereby renumbered as Section 96 <br />and amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 13 -444- 96. Penalties and confiscation of firearms. <br />(a) Any person found with a firearm on City premises in violation of this division <br />Article shall be issued an ordinance violation citation with a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) for the <br />first violation and a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) and not more than <br />two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) fine-,for a44 each subsequent violations. Said seminars shall be conducted by the South Bend Police Department and/or the <br />City's duly authorized agent. All costs related to said seminars shall be paid by the violator. <br />
