RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROVING A CERTAIN RESOLUTION <br />AND AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA TO BE <br />ADOPTED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission "), the governing <br />body of the South Bend Department of Redevelopment and the Redevelopment District of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Indiana Code 36 -7 -14 (the "Act "), on June 25, 2008, will consider for <br />adoption its Resolution No. 2456 (the "Resolution "); a copy of the Resolution is attached hereto and made <br />a part hereof as Exhibit "A "; <br />WHEREAS, the Resolution designates that the boundaries of the Airport Economic Development <br />Area ( "Airport Area ") should be further expanded and amended to include a new area described as <br />Expansion No. 24 (the "Plan Amendment "); and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission, which is a duly designated and acting official planning body for the <br />City, on June 25, 2008, will consider for adoption and approval the Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City as the municipal legislative body of the City now <br />desires to approve Expanion Area Number 24 of the Resolution in order to assist the Commission to <br />proceed with the redevelopment of the area as expanded; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as follows: <br />1. Expansion Area Number 24 of the Resolution attached hereto is in all respects hereby <br />approved, ratified and confirmed. <br />2. Any Commission determination of the Resolution that the Airport Area is amended and <br />expanded pursuant to the Act is hereby approved. <br />
