RUNNING SOUTH FROM NAVARRE Dear Members of the Council: In accordance with Municipal Code Section 18-53 .8, a favorable recommendation is being submitted to the Common Council concerning the Vacation Petition filed by Eugene Forsythe and Shar Sosh-Forsythe, 216 East Navarre Street, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the following alley: The 1st north/south alley west of St. Joseph Street running south from Navarre Street for a distance of 110 feet; thence running west a distance of 80 feet more or less to the intersecting north/south alley. All being in Rockstroh' s Sub of lots 42-43-44-45 Rockstroh' s 2nd. Add. in the City of South Bend, Indiana. For your information, a Public Hearing concerning the Vacation Petition as filed was held by the Board of Public Works on September 22, 1987 . Mr. Eugene Forsythe, 216 East Navarre Street, South Bend, Indiana, Petitioner, addressed the Board and spoke in favor of the vacation of the above referred to alley. A copy of the excerpts of the minutes of the Public Hearing is attached for your information. Based on favorable comments received from the Area Plan Commission and the Engineering Department, the Board favorably recommends the vacation of the above referred to alley subject to any and all utility easements.
