ORDINANCE NO. -777740 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> CHAPTER 21 , ARTICLE 6.5, ENTITLED <br /> HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> It is the intent of this Ordinance to amend Chapter 21 of <br /> the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend in order to <br /> authorize the Historic Preservation Commission to process appli- <br /> cations for nominations to the National Register of Historic <br /> Places. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> SECTION I . Section 21 -117 .2 in Article 6 . 5 of Chapter 21 of <br /> the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is hereby <br /> amended by the addition thereto of the following new subsection <br /> ( 1) : <br /> ( 1) The Historic Preservation Commission, as the local <br /> government certified by the Indiana State Historic <br /> Preservation Officer and the Secretary of the Interior of <br /> the United States, shall process National Register of <br /> Historic Places Inventory - Nomination Forms in accordance <br /> with regulations established by the Historic Preservation <br /> Comission consistent with the Indiana Certified Local <br /> Government Regulations. <br />
