The Area Plan <br /> Commission gave it a public hearing on June 16, 1987, at which time the <br /> following action was taken: <br /> Upon a motion by John DeLee, being seconded by Robert <br /> Lehman and unanimously carried, the proposed ordinance <br /> and site development plan of Don M. and Mary Louise <br /> Newman to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height and <br /> Area to "C" Commercial, "A" Height and Area, property <br /> located on the west side of the 200 block of Logan <br /> Street, City of South Bend is sent to the Common <br /> Council with an unfavorable recommendation. It is the <br /> Commission's concern that the proposed facility is too <br /> intense for this site for the following reasons: 1) <br /> The petitioners are proposing an excessively wide <br /> entrance to Logan Street which in the Commission's <br /> opinion could cause a serious traffic conflict along a <br /> busy arterial. 2) The automobile stacking area required <br /> by the City Zoning Ordinance has not been met <br /> Serving: South Bend, Lakeville, New Carlisle, North Liberty, Roseland & St. Joseph County, IN <br />
