STAFF REPORT <br /> INITIATED BY COUNCILMAN JOHN VOORDE #1097-87 May 8, 1987 <br /> Southeast Corner of Columbia and South Streets <br /> City of South Bend <br /> REQUESTED ACTION: The petitioners are requesting a zone change from <br /> "B" Residential , "E" Height and Area to "C" <br /> Commercial , "E" Height and Area. <br /> EXISTING LAND USE: The property contains a vacant 2 story building <br /> and garage. <br /> SURROUNDING LAND USE AND ZONING: Located to the north are multi-family homes and <br /> vacant land zoned "B" Residential , to the east are <br /> multi-family homes zoned "B" Residential , to the <br /> south is vacant land and multi-family homes zoned <br /> "B" Residential and to the west are single-family <br /> and multi-family homes zoned "B" Residential. <br /> DATA: The total site to be rezoned is approximately <br /> 13,345 square feet. <br /> SITE PLAN: A site plan is not required for rezonings <br /> initiated by a Councilman. <br />
