George F. & Geraldine Green were the first owners in 1930. <br />George Green was born May 13, 1900 in Dowagi ac, MI. He graduated from the <br />University of Michigan with an M.D. in 1924 and the University of Minnesota <br />ATTACH <br />NEGATIVE <br />ENVE LOPE <br />HERE <br />with an M.S. in surgery in 1929. He interned in Rnstan and at the Mayo Clinic <br />and began his South Bend practice in 1929 with his offices in the Sherland Bldg. <br />Green was a member if: Delta Epsilon, Phi Rho Sigma, Exchange Club, So. Bend Country Club, <br />American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Society and the St Joseph County Medical <br />Society. Mr. Green married Geraldine McIntyre in 1992_ Mr. & Mrs. Green sold the house back <br />to Whim -comb & Keller Corp'., around 1935. They rented it to Franklin & Nina Speer frnm 1935 to 1936. <br />hia <br />IN 1937 they rented it to David_ H. & Myrna Condit, selling_. thehouse to them in 'in -1939. <br />Dr. Condit was originialy from Oregon, he came to South bend in 1926 with hsi wife, Myrna <br />Goodrich Condit and their daughter, Arire. Dr. Condit was president of the South Bend Medical <br />Clinic for 8 years beginning in 1927. He specialized ino_b&tetrirR and gynecology. He resided in <br />they house until his death in 1960 at age 65. Mrs. Condit and Anne continued to resided there <br />until Annes death in 1969.
