23 <br />Tu e pc14yJune 20th, 1905. <br />The Board net in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Remonstrance Piled against the Street Sprinkling on So. Lafayette street in the <br />400 block. <br />.Petition filed by Studebaker Bros Mfg Company asking permission to construct a <br />bridge across Tutt street to connect their buildings, said bridge to be no less than <br />50 feet above the street line. Same was granted. <br />Petition filed by the South Bend 1A1holesale Grocery Company asking permission to <br />place and maintain a side track across Carroll street from the errand Trunk R. R. to their <br />new building. Same was granted. <br />Engineer reported grade on Andersons Court. Same was approved. <br />Engineer filed Assessment Rolls and final estimates for the following improvements, <br />to -wit; - <br />Pipe Sewer on Fellows street from Monroe street to L. S. & M. S. R. R. and from <br />Monroe street to a point 353 feet North of Monroe street, Brick Pavement on Laurel street <br />from Washington street toColfaxavenue, Studebaker street from Wa-hington street to <br />Linden avenue; all under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 237, 2492 230 & 232 respectively; <br />Also Sewer Connections on Arnold street from Sample street to Division street. <br />Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for.six con- <br />secutive days in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune, commencing <br />on the 21st day of June, 1905, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount <br />of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the llth day of July, 1905, a <br />7:15 P. M. <br />Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and <br />approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be <br />published on the 21st, day of June, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South <br />Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such <br />work at its office in the City Hall on the llth day of July, 1905, at 7:15 P. 14. <br />Bids were received for the sale of -the houses on William street and Matthew Court. <br />The East house on Matthew Court No. 351 was sold to Mr. Schelling for $275.00. The <br />West house on Matthew Court was sold to Max Winkowski for the sum of $325.00. All bids <br />for the Colfax avenue house were rejected and the Clerk was instructed to re- advertise <br />for the sale of the same at same future date. <br />( over) <br />
