209 The Board met in regular session at 10 A. H4- All members present. Remonstrance filed.by Mrs. Vary Dietz,.against the acceptance of the sidewalk contract on N. Lawrence street. Remonstrance filed against the paVing.of the lst alley West of Carroll street from `Wayne street to Division street. Bond of John Siders Co, filed and approved for the Arnold street Brick Pavement. Contract signed for same. Vandalia R. R. Co were notified to plank their crossing over Tutt street. Bids were opened and referred to the Engineer for tabulation for sewer an('_ water. connections on the following streets, - Vistula avenue, Arnold street, Elm street, Portage avenue, and E. LaSalle avenue. P resident. TUESDAY EVENING SPECIAL SESSION MAY 16TH, 1905 AT 7:15 P. M. The Board met in Special Session at 7:15 P. M. All members present. Hearing given on Declaratory Resolutions for the following improvements, to -wit, - Grade on Portage avenue from I. I. & I. R. R. Viaduct to the City Limits, Grade & Curbs on Marietta street from Sample street to Pennsylvania avenue, Walk & Curb on Fisher street from Harris street to alley west of Harris street, Walk h Curb on Wayne street from Eddy street to Frances street, Walk & Curb on Quimby street from Eddy street to Frances street, sidewalks on west side of Eddy street from Wayne street to the Grand Trunk Western R. R. All under Improvement Resolution 7o. 255, 259, 26o2 263,-264 and 265 respectively Engineer filed his estimated cost of the Portage avenue Grade Quimby street Walks & Curbs Wayne street Walks & Curbs Fisher street Walks & Curbs Marietta street Grade & Curbs improvements as follows;- $2S`20. 00 616.00 185.00 790.00 1200.00 In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said Improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, con -firmed and approved.
