211 <br />Wednesday May 17th. 1905. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />The following contracts were awarded, - <br />Portage avenue <br />Arnold street <br />Vistula avenue <br />LaSalle avenue <br />Elm street <br />LaSalle avenue <br />Portage avenue <br />Vistula avenue <br />Arnold street <br />Water Connections <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Sewer Connections <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Thomas Williams <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Chas Coussens & Co. <br />Do. <br />Do. <br />Henri DeVos & Co. <br />Postponed hearings given on the following Declaratory resolutions for the following <br />improvements, to -wit; - <br />Walk & Curb on the east side of Frances street from Wayne street <br />to Grand Trunk Western R. R., sidewalks on Florence avenue from Johnson street to <br />Wilber street. All under improvement resolutions Nos.. 262 and 266. <br />Engineer filed his estimated cost of the improvements as follows, - <br />Frances street Walks & Curbs $279.00 <br />Florence avenue Sidewalks 1165.00 <br />The. Specifications for the Florence avenue sidewalk improvement wercamended by <br />striking out the cement sidewalk on the north side of Florence avenue from Lincoln to <br />Johnson street. <br />a. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits <br />to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said <br />improvements and the came are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the lFth <br />day of May and on the 25th day of May, 1905, to the effect that this Board will receive <br />bids for said improvements up to 10 a. m., on the 31st day of May, 1905. The Board <br />reserves the right to reject any and all bids. <br />
