166 Tuesday March 21st, 1905. The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. Contracts were awarded for the following improvements, — Brick Pavement on Hill street Logan Block C. H. Defrees. E. Monroe street. Robertson street. Scott street. Laurel street. Studebaker street. Indiana Block Indiana Block. Indiana Block Townsend Block Terre Haute Block C. H. Defrees. C. H. Defrees. Hoban & Roach. Harry N. Barnes. James Nelson. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 239• Resolved by the.Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Sprinkling from the 15th day of April, 1905 to the 1st day of November, 1905, of the following streets,— Michigan street from Navarre street. to Broadway, Main street from Navarre street to South Street, Lafayette street from Navarre street to Monroe street, Taylor street from Washington street to one—half block of aTefferson street, LaSalle avenue from Michigan avenue to Michigan street, Colfax avenue from Michigan street to Lafayette street, Washington street from Vistula avenue to Scott street, Jefferson street from St. Joseph street to Taylor street, Wayne street from St. Joseph street to Main street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as THE STREET SPRINKLING CONTRACT and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of -this resolution and proposals for bids for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 22nd day of March and on the 29th day of March, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the lst day of April, 1905, at 10 A. M. and will receive bids up to 10 am., on the 4th day of April, 1905. Adopted this 21st day of March, 1905. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. Authority given to the City Treasurer to purchase a Cash Tray and Book Cart for the City's Books. Notice given to the public that the Portage avenue crossing over the I. I. & I Railroad viaduct would be obstructed for a period of about 10 days owing to the reconstruction of the viaduct. Application filed by Alex Lauraine for Inspector on City work. Petition filed by the South Bend Chilled Plow Co for cross walk on Washington street across Circle avenue.
