501 <br />ober 7th. 1904. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. McInerny absent. <br />Engineer reported grade on Oakland street from Mishawaka avenue to the St. <br />Joeeph river . Same was approved. <br />Contracts were awarded for the following improvements, to -wit; <br />Campau street ....... MeSherry & Baer. <br />Franklin street..... <br />Headley Bros. <br />Quincy street....... <br />Barnes Bros. <br />Taylor street ....... <br />T. M. Bauer. <br />College Street ...... <br />M. S. Rogers. <br />Scott street ........ <br />M. S. Rogers. <br />William street ....... <br />T. M. Bauer. <br />Bissell street ...... <br />T. M. Bauer. <br />Petition filed for the continuance of the sidewalk and curb on N. Lawrence <br />street to the end of the street, including front of what is known as the <br />Glover property. <br />Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 17 adopted the20th day of September <br />1904, condemning and appropriating the following described property, to -wit; <br />The use, occupancy and rental for the peroid of One year of fifty feet off of <br />and from the South side of Lot One in -#ecks addition to the City of South Bend; and <br />more particularly described as 50 feet of sand lying just North of E. Jefferson <br />street and West of Emerick street in said city of South Bend. <br />Messers George Beck and John Beck through Attorney Hoban filed a remonstrance. <br />The Board overrulled the remonstrance and after due consideration find that <br />said resolution No. 17 should be confirmed and the above described property should <br />be and the same is hereby condemned and appropriated to provide a temporary <br />thoroughfare and public street across said property. <br />Acting President. <br />
