INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: Anne Fuchs, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Finn Cavanaugh, Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Rescind Bids Memo 120-044R Ignition Park EV Charging Lot <br />DATE: May 18th, 2021 <br />Dear Board of Public Works, <br />City Administration has decided not to move forward with the Ignition Park EV Charging <br />Station Project (No. 120-044R) at this time. City Administration is aware of discussions <br />at the Federal government regarding infrastructure investments, which would include <br />funding for Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure. The City Administration is following <br />these discussions in Congress closely, to understand how to best leverage City funds <br />in order to further comprehensive investments in this new type of infrastructure. The <br />project has been put on an indefinite hold. The Board of Public Works (the “Board”), at <br />its April 27, 2021 meeting, awarded the Ignition Park EV Charging Station contract to <br />Rieth Riley, in the amount of $398,617.41. The decision to not move forward was made <br />shortly thereafter. Fortunately, a Notice to Proceed has not been issued to the <br />contractor.
