Chapter 12, Section 12-6 of the South Bend Municipal Code shall be, and hereby is, amended to read as follows: Sec. 12-6 Penalties. (a) Any person alarm agent who fails to comply with any of the provisions of this cha ter , shall be fined one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first violation,..paxable to the Ordinance Violations Bureau_ and two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each violation thereafter. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. (b) Any alarm system installed, operated, or maintained in violation of this chapter is hereby declared to be a nuisance and maybe abated in the same manner as nuisances are now or may hereafter be abated under existing law. (c) The remedies provided for herein shall be cumulative and not exclusive and shall be in addition to any other remedies provided by law ~ncludin>? remedies provided in Chapter 4 of the South Bend Municipal Code. SECTION XI. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from January 1, 2004 and after its passage by the Common Council, and approval by the Mayor, and publication as required by law.
